Mt Adams:  Live Here

Many people are surprised by the diversity of Mt Adams’ real estate and residents.  Young professionals are neighbors with corporate and city leaders.  A young family may live next to a couple who once raised their own family on the Hill.  Some people have lived here for decades, while others are here temporarily from another country.

But, one thing that is true about all Mt Adams’ Residents:  They are passionate about their neighborhood!    Here are the words of long-time resident and historian, Jim Steiner:

I love living on Mt. Adams

When people ask where I live and I tell them Mt. Adams, one of their first questions is: “How are the streets in the winter?” The City of Cincinnati is great about keeping our streets clear so getting on and off the Hill is easy. The neighborhood is very safe and there are plenty of special events during the year. The Reindog Parade, Praying the Immaculata Steps on Good Friday, the Holy Cross-Immaculata Festival, the Mt Adams Music Festival, the Mt. Adams Oktoberfest, the Luminaria, Summertime Cinema in the City movies at Seasongood Pavilion and Clean Up the Hill in Spring and Fall.

Mt. Adams is a real community with friendly neighbors, plenty of things to do and a special sense of pride in who we were and who we are. It’s a short walk to great restaurants, beautiful Eden Park, ever changing Krohn Conservatory, the award-winning Playhouse in the Park, the Cincinnati Art Museum, Great American Ball Park, warm weather live entertainment at Seasongood Pavilion, the Mt. Adams swimming pool and a high energy, vibrant night life. Hop in your car and you’re fifteen minutes from everything Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky have to offer.

Stay at home and watch the Reds Friday fireworks and summer’s end Riverfest Fireworks, the boat and barge traffic on the lazy Ohio River, the city lights at night, thunderstorms rolling across the hills, hawks lazily circling on heat thermals, snow gently falling, soft summer rain and inspiring sunrises and sunsets.

Mt. Adams is the best place I’ve ever lived.
