Things To Do

Mt. Adams is one of those quaint “urban village” enclaves that hide away in cities which came into their own in the second half of the 19th Century. With spectacular views of the Ohio River and the downtown skyline, numerous popular and cozy restaurants and pubs, and outstanding architecture, Mt. Adams is one of those “I could live here” neighborhoods. Mt. Adams is close to many of Cincinnati’s best features, including the Playhouse, Art Museum, Eden Park and the Krohn Conservatory.

If you prefer a meal on the town, offerings range from the higher-end Mt. Adams Fish House to paninis and salads at Bow Tie Cafe. After dinner, Mt. Adams has several options for a drink or two.  The neighborhood’s rich cultural and entertainment offerings make it a must-see when visiting Cincinnati. Its current attractions are almost as interesting as its history; Mt. Adams was named after John Quincy Adams, but its former moniker, Mount Ida, was a tribute to an old woman who lived in a tree.
