Guided Walking Tours of Historical Mt. Adams

Take an Architreks guided walking tour of one of Cincinnati’s first suburbs and learn about the rich history and architecture of the Mt. Adams community.

Visit the famous Immaculata Church, site of the annual Good Friday Praying of the Steps pilgrimage, see the site of the birthplace of American Astronomy and the United States Weather Bureau and discover why Mt. Adams is known as the Birthplace of the American Wine industry.
See Rookwood Pottery, the Passionist Monastery, Cincinnati’s oldest irish pub, the site formerly traveled by Cincinnati’s last inclined plane railroad and hear why John Quincy Adams visited his namesake, Mt. Adams, in 1843.

The tour takes about 90 minutes and includes some steps and moderate grades so comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended.

Tours are scheduled on the second Sunday of the month from May through October at 2:00.
