2015 is off to a fun start!
On Wednesday, March 18th, the Community Life Committee hosted a Game Night at Bow Tie Café from 6:00-8:00. About twenty people of all ages showed up to play board games and euchre. It was a great reason to get out of the house and have fun with some people you may never have met. Thanks to Meghan Fronduti for bringing part of her game stockpile!
Michele McKibben won 1st Place in the MACA NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Bracket Challenge, walking away with a prestigious trophy indeed.
The Mt. Adams Art Walk on Saturday, April 11th was a big success. Marcey Bullerman is doing a terrific job revitalizing the event. See the “Mt Adams Art Walk” Facebook page for lots of great photos of the event. Here is the URL:
On Sunday, April 12th, the Community Life Committee hosted an Easter Egg Hunt in the beautiful dogwood area of Eden Park across the street from Krohn Conservatory. Thanks to all the families who participated, and to Heather Turner and Amy Obermeyer for getting things organized. The kids (and even the adults!) seemed to have a really good time.
Thanks so much to all those who are giving their time, effort, talent, and money to keep Mt. Adams a great place to be.
We look forward to a fun filled summer for the Mt. Adams community. Here are some upcoming events to add to your calendars. Updated information will be posted to MtAdamsToday.com.

Cinema in the City is back this year with three great new movies:

- Friday, August 14: Mrs Doubtfire
Many, many thanks to the Hahns, Morans, and Weinsteins for agreeing to once again take the reins for this wonderful community event.
Community Life Committee meetings will continue to be held monthly. Most meetings will be on the final Wednesday of the month at the Bow Tie Café from 6:00-7:00. The next meeting is on May 27th. Specific future times will be announced at the preceding MACA general meeting. These meetings are open to all and are a great way to get involved in the community.
This year’s remaining Mt. Adams Art Walks will be on the second Saturday of May, September, and October (5/9, 9/12, and 10/10) from 1:00-6:00. Please consider volunteering, attending, or both for these cool, fun events. More information is available on the aforementioned Facebook page.
The next Community Game Night is scheduled for Wednesday, 5/20 from 6:00-8:00 at the Bow Tie Café from 6:00-8:00. Some of the bigger hits from last time were euchre and the board games Ticket to Ride, Sorry, and Connect Four, but please bring your own favorites (and be ready to explain the rules). We will generally try to hold these the third Wednesday of each month, with specifics announced at the preceding MACA general meeting.
This year’s National Night Out, always a fun community party, will be on Tuesday, August 4th.
The Community Life Committee has registered a team for the 2015 Last Call Trivia Summer League. Competitions are held Wednesday nights at Next Chapter from 7:00-9:00 pm. This is a well run affair and is a lot of fun. The league runs over 12 weeks ending July 18th and we need at least 6 appearances, so please come and participate. Our team name is “MAC Life” and our assigned number is 1687. If no one else from the team showed up, feel free to give it your best shot solo!
